Good Morning,
We're almost there. Three weeks of practice and the first meet is
upon us. Tough Challenge Matches yesterday.
Team meal at Austin's tonight following weigh in, we will do our best
to get kids rides over there.
Booster Meeting tonight at 6:30 in the cafeteria. Please send a
family rep to the meeting to ensure we have enough help for our home
tournament on Dec 15. Michelle Diamond will be coordinating food
table for Saturday meets.
Youth Club tonight from 6-8, it would helpful to have some high school
kids assist each Tuesday and Thursday.
If you have not turned in your Handbook or participation fee please
get that to me prior to tomorrow's meet.
JV will wrestle around 5:30 tomoorow night, Varsity round 1 against
Perry about 6 PM. JV Round 2 will follow, then the finals with us
against winner of Ionia/Dansville.
Everyone is traveling to Three Rivers Friday afternoon, here is where
kids will go Saturday Morning.

We will have the booster meeting at 6:30 in the high school commons
following team dinner on Tuesday December 4th. We will be planning
our December tournament, setting up concessions schedule, outlining
the December portion of the season, and answering any questions that
may come up.
The wrestlers are expected to dress in shirt and tie Wednesday during
school. They are free to go home after school, they are encouraged to
rest. They need to be back to the school by 4:00 PM in my classroom.
Bruce Painter and Brian Farris will be running the clocks Wednesday
night. Thanks for all the volunteers.
On Fridays we ask them to wear a wrestling t-shirt.
Please encourage your son to drink more water throughout the day.

Good Morning Parents,
Great weekend in Mackinac! Everyone finished, pushed themselves past
their limit, and set some great goals for themselves and the team.
We are practicing today and tomorrow at regular time 3 to 5:30.
Wednesday we will go at 9 AM.
Friday will be 9 AM with Coach Bloom. Saturday, we will be meeting at
8 AM for practice and then driving to Holt for practice, should be
done around Noon. Wrestlers are expected to attend unless they have
family commitments during the time of practice. Please contact Coach
Weber ahead of time

Good Morning Parents,
Wrestling season is right around corner. 5 days! We have been having
challenging boot camp workouts and I am confident we will be ready for
the season!
We will have our mandatory MHSAA nutrition meeting Monday November 12
at 6:30, this will serve as our Meet the Team night and I will outline
program expectations, key dates, booster meeting, and any other
questions that there may be.
Couple of reminders:
- All athletes need a physical on file
before practice Nov 12
- All athletes must have a handbook form
signed before Nov 16
- All athletes must have paid their
participation fee before Dec 5
I have attached info regarding the Mackinac trip next weekend. It is
expected for team members to attend. This is a great way for the team
to form unity and tackle a challenging task. If cost is an issue,
please do not hesitate and the club can cover the expense. We would
like a count Monday to reserve rooms.
I will need at least 2-3 more drivers for next week to Mackinac.
Please let me know if you can attend.
We are at the hill today and our new baseball coach, Ricky Clark, will
be running the last day of boot camp tomorrow, as the rest of the
coaching staff are at the Michigan Wrestling Association clinic with
Ohio State Head Coach Tom Ryan.
Now is the time to prepare for March. MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Please remind (send) your son to bring warm clothes and cleats
tomorrow for boot camp. We will be running to the stadium and doing
our workout on the hill and will drive back. We should be done around
4:30-4:45
The Diamonds and Stacey Murray have put together a tailgate for the
boys once they return to the high school from their workout.
Good luck to all our athletes this weekend in post-season play!

Good Morning Parents,
Boot Camp is off to a great start with 22 kids Monday, 18 Tuesday.
We will have Boot Camp Monday and Tuesday from 3:00 to 4:30 each day.
Please let me know if your son will need a ride and we can plan
accordingly.
We will be practicing at the stadium on Friday (NOV 2), please remind
(send) your wrestler with warm clothes.

Good Afternoon folks,
Last night at the booster club, we approved the budget for 2012-13 and
discussed the upcoming dates for the upcoming season
Key upcoming dates:
Oct 29 to Nov 8 - Boot camp 3:05 - 4:30
Nov 12 - First day of practice
Nov 12 - 6:30 PM, Meet the Wrestling Team, Mandatory parent meeting,
and potluck, Mackinac meeting.
Nov 16-18 - Mackinac trip (we will leave at noon and welcome any
parent drivers)
Dec 1 - Scrimmage at Holt (not on calendar yet)
Dec 4 - First weight & Team dinner at Austin's
Dec 5 - Battle of M-52 @ WHS
Dec 22 - JV will also wrestle at Chip Hills invite (not on current
calendar)
Jan 13 - Varsity will go to Caro Duals, JV will go to Parma Western
Duals (not on calendar)
Finally, Mika Hulliberger announced that he is stepping down as
president after 5 great years. We thank him for his dedicated service
to our club and know he will not be a stranger.
Mark Diamond was nominated and Mark accepted the position of president
for the club.
Hope you all enjoy the upcoming weekend. Coach Demand, Jeremy and
myself are heading to Ohio State tomorrow for their coaching clinic,
wrestling season must be here!

Just a quick reminder that we are having our first booster meeting of
the new season tonight.
6 PM, Brookshire.
Items on the agenda include approving the budget and dates for the
season.

Good Morning folks,
Just a few quick notes:
There will be a meeting Friday during school for any freshman
interested in joining the team, please get the word out.
We will have a booster meeting next Tuesday October 23 at the
Brookshire at 6 PM. We need to approve the budget for the coming year
and discuss any needs prior to Mackinac.
Also, Boot Camp (Pre-season conditioning) will begin October 29 right
after school for those not still participating in football.
Attached is the tentative schedule for the entire year.
